qPCR assay for the detection of African Swine Fever Virus DNA in samples from Swine and wild Boar.
Details
INgene® q ASFV Triplex is a real-time PCR kit for the detection of African Swine Fever Virus DNA in samples from Swine and wild Boar. The assay is optimized for samples like serum, blood (individual, pool of 5, on dry swab, on blotting paper), tissues, muscle exudate, environmental samples (wet wipe) and preservative transport media (country-specific validations). This kit detects the pathogen DNA in FAM channel, includes an Internal Positive Control (Cy5) and an Endogenous Control (HEX/VIC) making it a triplex real-time PCR in one-well format, allowing identification of false negatives due to PCR inhibition. Furthermore, the master mix contains a passive reference fluorochrome (ROX) to allow signal normalisation in the real-time PCR platforms where this is required.
Main assay benefits are:
- Ready-to-use format, minimum preparation time
- Includes both endogenous and exogenous controls for robust results
- Validated with clinical samples
- External validation at the EURL for ASFV (CISA-INIA); designed in compliance with OIE guidelines; validated following the French standard NF U47-600-2; registered in Spain, Germany, and France
- 100 rxn format
