INgene® Bruce-ladder V is an end-point PCR kit for the detection and differentiation of B. melitensis, B. abortus, B. suis, B. ovis and RB51, B19, Rev1 vaccines (BRU) DNA in samples from Swine, Cattle, Small ruminants, Equine. The assay is optimized for purified DNA or isolated colony (biological samples must be enriched in culture before being tested). The assay consists on a multiplex PCR in one-well format, amplifying several regions of the Brucella genome, which differ according to species. The assay consists of three steps: extraction of the genetic material from the sample, amplification of specific DNA of the bacteria and evaluation of the amplification product by gel-based interpretation.
