INgezim® LEISHMANIA 2.0 (10 plates/kit)

Indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the detection of specific antibodies to Leishmania infantum in canine serum or blood samples. This is a DIVA assay for the differentiation of infected and vaccinated animals.

Details

Canine leishmaniosis is a zoonotic disease caused by Leishmania infantum, widely distributed in endemic regions and increasing in prevalence due to environmental and climatic changes. Dogs act as the main reservoir of the parasite, playing a key role in disease transmission. Clinical manifestations may vary from asymptomatic infection to severe systemic disease, making early and accurate diagnosis essential for disease control, treatment, and epidemiological surveillance.

The INgezim® Leishmania 2.0 ELISA is an indirect assay based on a recombinant multi-epitope antigen of L. infantum (rKLi8.3) combined with protein A/G, enabling highly sensitive and specific detection of antibodies. The antigen is expressed in different stages of the parasite, allowing detection across the course of infection. The assay demonstrates strong diagnostic performance and shows no cross-reactivity with other common canine pathogens.

The test allows antibody titration, supporting disease staging and monitoring of infection. It can be performed either manually or on automated platforms, adapting to different laboratory workflows. The assay is available in two formats (1 or 10 plates) and supports high-throughput testing.

Only for veterinary in-vitro diagnostic use.
